ABOUT THE ROLE

A UX Designer at 321 will conceptualize, design, and execute creative solutions that consistently put user experience first and effectively communicate our client's brand identity, positioning, and messaging. Designers in this position can clearly communicate the “why” behind their interactive designs and the importance of merging beautiful aesthetics with functional, accessible design solutions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design Strategy and Execution
    • Work in a collaborative team to conceptualize, design, and produce an array of digital executions including websites, product, and app experiences.
    • Apply the latest in UX/UI best practices to the concept and execution phases of a project.
    • Identify and solve user problems by mapping out the bare bones of a user journey.
    • Support the pre-design phase by conducting thorough research including competitor and customer analysis, and applying this research to an overarching strategy communicated clearly to our internal team.
    • Develop personas, usage scenarios, storyboards, sitemaps, prototyping, and screen flows as necessary to analyze and support the user story.
    • Create initial concepts, mid to hi-fidelity wireframes, functional design solutions, and UX/UI inspiration and techniques.
    • Design intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, interactive elements and interfaces that are consistent and coherent.
    • Possess an eye for detail and a variety of design styles.

  • Collaborate Internally & Externally
    • Demonstrate an ability to listen and synthesize client and team needs.
    • Work closely with and collaborate with project associated departments and Project Managers with a passion for problem solving.
    • Interpret client needs and develop concepts to adhere to specific guidelines, while working within budget and timeline constraints.

  • Present & Support Your Work
    • Generate innovative executions that communicate compelling benefits and deliver strong conversion metrics.
    • Present concepts and designs in an impactful way.
    • Clearly communicate the “why” behind designs and defend design choices to the benefit of the client’s goals and the user experience.

  • Stay Current & Reliable
    • Be a self-starter and quick learner, with the ability to deliver work on time and within scope.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Figma and prototyping within the program, as well as any new or emerging technologies.
    • Contribute to a strong creative atmosphere at 321 and be a representative of our core values.

  • Be A Department Leader
    • Serve as a mentor to Junior and Mid-level designers, providing constructive feedback and empathetic leadership.
    • Be an example of the 321 values and encourage their integrity throughout the team.
    • Proactively find opportunities to share knowledge and encourage the growth of the creative department.
    • Prioritize and work in an energetic & fast paced environment.
    • Work both independently and collaboratively.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 4-5 years designing in an agency setting.
  • A book that represents eye-catching & award-winning designs with a focus on User Experience.
  • Strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Proven skill at handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to focus on the details, but also see how projects fit into larger company goals.
  • A well developed ability to give constructive design critique and positively guide creative growth in others.
  • Ability to work well in an agile, fast moving team environment.
  • Agency experience is preferred.
